Sourdough for Beginners Class

Learn the art of baking homemade sourdough bread with our Sourdough for Beginners Class. This hands-on class will cover all the basics, from feeding & maintaining your own starter to mixing your dough, stretch & folds, bulk fermentation, scoring your very own mini loaf and baking without a dutch oven.

There will be hands on and observations, discussion, Q&A, tastings, and lots of fun!

You will leave this class with your own fed and active "Phoebe" starter, your bowl with dough that will finish fermenting in your home and then you'll shape, refrigerate and bake it.

What you need to bring:

An immense love for sourdough bread
Medium size empty bowl (to mix dough and take home)
A pint or quart size jar for your starter to take home
Questions and eagerness to learn.
