I'm Jessica, a native Floridian whose love for bread goes way beyond a mere craving. My journey started with bagels, and anyone who knows me will tell you that they were truly my first love. However, my path took a detour through a public health degree where I concentrated in nutrition and learned some hard truths about things I ate on a daily basis. Terms like "azodicarbonamide" started to haunt my dreams so I realized it was time to rethink what I consumed. At that point, I traded in those commercial loaves for a kitchen covered in flour and a mission to make something better. Through a series of experiments, failures, and finally, triumphs, I discovered the art of sourdough. This stuff is the real deal: it's honest, it's ancient, and it's about as natural as the sunshine we get around here. No preservatives, just a good ol' natural ferment that makes your gut do a happy dance. Here at Sunshine State Sourdough, we're not about the latest fad. This is my passion turned into every loaf. It's the result of early mornings and late nights, of honing the craft and respecting the simplicity of good bread. You won't find any fluff here—just the good stuff.
