Serene Green Farm

Serene Green Farm was established in 2010 and is now open all year. It is our mission to provide the following to our community: fresh local fruits, vegetables, herbs, seafood, prepared foods, a variety of fresh-baked bread, cookies, pies, local honey, fresh flowers, pantry items, and local fresh dairy items. In 2015 we introduced our own line of prepared foods, including sauces, dips, soups, dinners, salads, sides, and more. We take pride in serving our customers with a convenient, one-stop shopping experience. We love to see the familiar faces of our community and are excited to see new faces of customers who recently found us! We look forward to serving you and becoming a part of your farm stand experience! WHO WE ARE John Smith's family settled in the Water Mill/Hayground area back in the 1640s. John has a true passion for farming. He spent his childhood where his mother, Edith Avens, grew up on Scuttle Hole Road in Water Mill. The Water Mill Museum holds many photographs of the Avens family history. John enjoys teaching his three children about hard work, supporting our community, and farming. Aven, 16 years old, is named after his grandfather, whose last name is Avens. Serene Green was named after 14-year-old Serene! And, the youngest, Skye, is 13 years old, and she has a passion for farming like her father. Laura, John’s wife, devotes her time to her family and Serene Green. She keeps Serene Green running smoothly on the back end of things by managing the bookkeeping as well as working with the amazing staff who help keep Serene Green stocked with fresh local products and produce.
