After being medically retired from the military, I moved around and around until I found a small farm in Texas to raise my children and call home. Somewhere to plant my little family's roots and watch them grow. I learned to breed and raise animals, tend a garden, can my excess, and other homesteading activities. I began baking during the nights to combat my PTSD, and ended up enrolling and graduating with honors from a pastry arts program as well as a culinary arts program. The art of blending flavors collided with the science of safe canning practices... and I was hooked. The rest is history!
