Your support means the world to me! My sourdough journey began in October of 2023, when I decided to challenge myself to try something new. After countless hours of watching YouTube videos, TikToks, and reading through Facebook groups, I became captivated by the health benefits, the dedication, and the fun of baking sourdough. Baking has always been a passion of mine, and after moving to our new home with my very busy 3-year-old, Paisley, and husband, I finally found the time to experiment in the kitchen. My first loaf of sourdough wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t terrible either! I kept researching and learning, and soon enough, my husband was raving about my bread, saying it was just as good (if not better!) than what you’d find at a restaurant. That praise gave me the confidence to share my newfound hobby with friends and coworkers. It wasn’t long before I was invited to present at a local wellness business, where I was amazed to find a full room of people eager to learn about the art of sourdough. From there, the questions kept coming, and orders for my sourdough followed. And just like that, Midwest Sourdough Co. was born! It has been such a joy to share my creations with you, and I hope that with every bite of homemade bread, you can taste the love and care I put into every loaf.
