Refresh loaf

Due to the fermentation process, a whole unsliced sourdough loaf will keep well for about 3-4 days. Once the loaf has been sliced it is best to consume within 4 days with the exposed crumb covered or wrapped in a paper bag, linen bag, or bread box.

Once you receive your loaf in order to refresh it please follow these instructions:

1. Preheat Your Oven

• Preheat your oven to 325–350°F (160–175°C).

2. Add Moisture

• Lightly spritz the crust of your sourdough loaf with water using a spray bottle.

• Alternatively, lightly sprinkle water on the surface of the loaf prior to baking (be careful not to overly hydrate the loaf with too much water)

3. Reheat the Loaf

• Place the loaf directly on the oven rack or a baking sheet.

• Heat the bread for 5–10 minutes, checking periodically to ensure that you achieve a crust that crackles when pressed and a soft, warm interior that resembles a freshly baked loaf

4. Let It Rest

• Once reheated, let the loaf sit for 5 minutes at room temperature to allow the crust to settle and the inside to reabsorb moisture.

5 . Slice and enjoy

Freeze Bread

To keep and enjoy longer you may immediately freeze the entire loaf or immediately slice the loaf and place the slices in a freezer safe container. You may reheat each slice on the stovetop, in the toaster oven, or even in the air fryer.
