Baking has always been a special part of my life. Some of my favorite memories are in the kitchen with my grandmother, making cookies, angel food cake, and pumpkin logs. But I never imagined baking would turn into a business—until life led me here. In early 2022, I started experimenting with adding protein to my baked goods, making my sweet tooth feel a little less guilty. I shared them with trainers at my gym, and one day, I was asked to use their protein to create samples and sell at an event. That small opportunity turned into a few pop-ups, and just as things were picking up, life took me in a new direction—Hawaii. I couldn’t pass up the chance to live there, so I put baking on pause. But after settling in, I found a sense of community at the weekly night market, where I was introduced to making barks. I absolutely loved my time there, experimenting with flavors and sharing my creations. When I moved back to Arizona, I wasn’t planning on picking up baking again, but after some friends tried my barks and encouraged me to keep going, I decided to embrace it. Balancing this passion with my full-time teaching career has been a challenge, but the support from those who love my barks, cookies, and more has kept me motivated. Now, I’m excited to grow HP Bakery even more. Your support means sooo much to me, and I can’t wait to keep sharing my treats with you!
