Welcome to HeatherkMakes! I'm Heather Mead a freshman at UWRF studying a degree in agriculture business with a passion for baking. Growing up I always loved baking and eventually ended up joining 4-H where I first learned how to cake decorate. After years of 4-H and a handful of ribbons, I knew I had a talent for decorating. At the age of 16, I got a job at a local bakery. I started out doing mostly prepping, making dough, and baking cakes, but I soon worked my way up fast. I became the only high schooler the owner ever had working with cakes and detailing cookies. A job only the adults at the bakery commonly did. After a year of working with cakes and custom sugar cookies, I moved on to creating something of my own. I am a proud owner of HeatherkMakes on Etsy and am now expanding to sell to locals in the community! Thanks for stopping by!
