Groovy Grains Bakeshop is a locally owned gluten free bakery. We are dedicated to providing delicious gluten free bread to the Savannah area, with shipping available within the state of Georgia. We are a fully licensed cottage food operation.

Meet the Owner:

Hi, I'm Melanie! I am a mom of 2, a wife, an avid Bravo watcher, and a gal who just loves to be in the kitchen! I was diagnosed in 2013 with an autoimmune disease that required me to go gluten free. Back then, there weren't near as many companies making products or trying to cater to the gluten free crowd. It was a minefield of one terrible product after another. I have had my fair share of cardboard bread, tiny postage stamp size sandwiches, and the toasting...my goodness, a toasted PB&J just isn't the same as the real thing. Discovering that gluten free bread can be soft, delicious, eaten untoasted, and can be normal size was life changing!

My husband and children do not need to be gluten free, but to avoid cross contamination to keep me safe, everyone in the house eats gluten free while at home! My kitchen always remains free of gluten containing ingredients, however, I do have oats on the premises most of the time. I do not use oats in any of the baked goods that I sell. Should you ever have questions about ingredients, please feel free to ask. I want all of my customers to feel safe in their purchases. My mission is to provide delicious and safe gluten free breads and treats that everyone can enjoy, whether you have celiac, a gluten intolerance, or choose to eat gluten free. There are lots of groovy grains to choose from that don't contain gluten!
